Mrs. Craigner, an 82 year old Caucasian woman, is brought to the emergency room after experiencing a fall at home. She is alert and oriented but complains of pain over her left hip and side. On questioning, Mrs. Craigner notes that she tripped and fell when her cat ran in front of her, distracting her for a moment, while she was trying to get to the bathroom.
