Summary Case

Mrs. Christensen is a 72 year old retired concert pianist. Her current health conditions include osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and hypertension. She uses over the counter ibuprofen for her osteoarthritis, alendronate for her osteoporosis, and both enalapril and hydrochlorothiazide for her blood pressure. Recently, although she stays active, she has found that she has more difficulty climbing stairs and getting in and out of cars. You will encounter Mrs. Christensen again when considering the renal system.
